This time of year reminds me of one of my favorite albums of ALL TIME, Neil Diamond’s Hot August Night. The younger readers in BEER NORTH NATION have NO idea what I’m talking about, but this album shaped my musical tastes for a lifetime. Recorded live in Los Angeles on August 24, 1972, Neil Diamond pulled out his catalog, playing timeless hits like: “Sweet Caroline”, “Kentucky Woman”, “Cherry, Cherry”, and MANY MORE. Nights like we’ve had recently remind me of the title of this album on a daily basis. As with the beers I love, I think everyone needs this album in their collection. Enough with the sidebar, if you are looking for something to do this weekend, here are a few ideas.
